This week’s version of the Weekly Round-up focuses on portable video. With the release of the iPhone (and its steep pricetag that has caused some people to take up begging), the ability to take your content with you is being advertised like crazy. I personally think the OQO Model 2 is a great way to bring your content with you, but it costs over $2,000 dollars. Oh well. One thing to remember about video on the go: remember to back up that iTunes content or ripped movies.
- SlingPlayer and Windows Mobile – Sling Media has announced that the SlingPlayer Mobile software client will now be compatible with Microsoft’s new Windows Mobile 6
- YouTube is the dominant source for video – A never-ending supply of video.
- Movy.tv – video clips for your cellphone
- BluOnyx – a mobile video server
- MobiTV – AT&T U-Verse for cellphones
Also check out TVadio, for online video from Batman to NBA Overtime.
