What is an HTPC?

HTPC is an acronym for Home Theater Personal Computer, describing certain computers systems designed solely to be connected to a television for entertainment purposes, such as watching live TV, playing movies, music, or viewing digital photos. They may also be referred to as media center systems. The general goal in a HTPC is usually to combine many or all components of a home theater setup into one box. Most HTPCs will be connected to a television and an audio receiver.

What if you find sitting at a computer workstation inconvenient and uncomfortable? What if you would rather watch the HTPC on a bigger screen and in a more comfortable place?
