A couple of months ago, Verizon dug up my front yard to install Fios in my neighborhood. Yeah me. I was/am excited to finally make the switch to fiber optic goodness.

I went to www.verizonfios.com to check out the available packages. The standard fair was available such as DVRs and set top boxes. One thing I noticed was that CableCard was not an option on their website for new customers. I had to search for it using the search box. It turns out there is no pricing information online for CableCards and you cannot sign up for one online. You have to call. I thought that was interesting, though not suprising, that Verizon does not publicize CableCards too much on their site.
