Emusic: DRM free digital music for your HTPC

As I get older, I get exposed to less and less new music. In an attempt to rectify that, I recently subscribed to Emusic, which offers songs without DRM. As a side, I hate i-tunes. I still do not understand why people buy DRM-crippled music that is at a lower quality than a CD.

The major downside to Emusic is that you can’t buy just one song, you have to subscribe to the service. Nonsubscribers can’t buy music at all. Your 40 songs a month work like cell-phone minutes and disappear if they are not used by the end of the month, to be replenished by another 40 credits worth of downloads.

PCMag.com has a review of EMusic, which I agree with mostly.
